The Parks, Recreation, and Community Service Department is offering free computer training to the community. If
your annual household income is less than $45,000, then you may qualify
for a free community computer. A community computer is a
refurbished computer that will have Windows 2000 professional, Office
Suite program, and Internet capabilities. To apply for a community
computer, first complete an application at a community center to
see if you qualify. The distribution of computers is on a first
come first served basis so apply as soon as possible. Once
the application has been reviewed, you will be offered free basic
computer courses at one of the nearby community centers. Upon
successful completion of the classes, your application will be approved
and a refurbished computer will be given to you free of charge. City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department teach, host, and instruct the program in park facilities. Call a local community center to get more information.
