Customer Premise Equipment

To get access to the Free City Wide Wifi, customer premise equipment is required to gain access from you PC, wireless laptop or MAC. Depending on your distance from an access point, high foliage around your home, terrain and man made feature in you neighborhood, coverage will vary. Both internal and external antennas are available to ensure access to the 2.4 MHz network.  All free WiFi services are on the 2.4 MHz Band.  Currently the Ubiquity Nanostation Loco and Nanostation II are the SmartRiverside preferred equipment for long-distance access.  To purchase please call US Internet at 800.874.6837 Extension 3880 or visit our wireless webpage for an online order form.

WiFi Locations in Riverside

To find out if Wireless is available in your area and where the nearest access point is located, type in an address below and click the Find my Property button:


When the application comes up click on View Map, then click the layers tab and select WiFi coverage and WiFi access points and click Refresh. You may hit Zoom and then click on the map to see how far you are from an access point.
